I started wear keen boots about 7 years ago. These boots are great anytime of the year. They fit perfect the first day with no breaking in to wear.I don’t have a negative thing to say about these. Love them in every way. Didn’t even need to break in much before hiking. Feet stayed dry in the rain, so comfortable. Fit as expected. Size 8.Boots arrived and were clearly worn previously and returned, highly possible that the seller did not notice the slight areas where someone had attempted to get rid of the wear lines/creases at the toe where it bends when walking. I did approach the seller who gave a $20 refund in a timely manner after I sent pics to show the wear, but I felt that was a low offer considering the boots were fairly expensive for me, I've never spent that much on a pair of shoes ever. The only other option I was given was to send them back and I was in need of the boots for winter so not really an option, this was the ONLY pair I could find anywhere. They are comfortable as Keens usually are, they do run big which I like because then I can wear thick socks with them, my feet get cold easily. The reason for a 4 instead of 5 is because they squeak when you walk, quite loudly, I'm guessing this is why they were returned previously. The leather around the ankle and up takes a long time to break in, I've ben wearing them nonstop for a few months and they still squeak but thankfully a bit softer now. Color is great, matches with just about anything and I love the style, they also seem to be wearing well.Great fit for my high volume (thick up and down), wide-ish, wedge shaped feet. So far, waterproof and warm, though these two features have not been rigorously tested - yet. They don't make my feet sweaty; they go on/off easily; they're pretty lightweight, especially for snow boots; they're quiet with somewhat flexible rubberish-y outsoles; their shank feels supportive; their laces are plenty long; their insoles (which are thin) are removable. The cushioning could be better, but it seems adequate. The collar brings to mind sweater knit. It has started to show wear already (because I mostly wear pants - as opposed to not), but that IS its job. Fleece, faux shearling, etc are the wear bars of the winter boot world. I am NOT leaving my ice cleats on, because when I did this before, the constant pressure might have contributed to the soles of my snow boots prematurely peeling away.I bought a 9 in Kaci 2 and have just the right amount of room for an extra pair of lightweight winter socks. For reference, Drew Krista 8.5 W fits me perfectly. Most Alegria 38s fit but can be a little snug across the ball of my foot. Merrell Pandi II 8.5 is roomy. My beloved Ariat Fat Babies are tight over the instep and need stretching. Birks are ALL wrong. Keens usually fit, but not Tevas, which are meant for narrow, long-toed feet that leave parentheses-like tracks. People with narrow feet might not like these, though a high arch should be okay. The depth seems sufficient for most orthotics.I can sometimes get by with a medium width shoe, but wide is always more comfortable. In sandals, I often wear an 8; in shoes, an 8.5; in boots, a 9.I really like these boots; I forget it's even boots I have on.I always am hesitant to purchase something when it gives a date range for delivery as I am so spoiled with prime. I was pleasantly surprised with the shipping speed as it showed up on the FIRST day of the date range which was only one additional day than the normal prime speed. These are my 4th pair of keen kaci’s, but the first pair of the kaci #2. They feel about the same to me and the new quilted design up at the top is fine I will hardly ever see it since my pants cover it up. I can wear them daily for just under a year before the glue on the sole starts to break away. I am moderately active and hike a lot on gravel roads. I always want my stuff to last longer than they do, but I am happy with these shoes.Fits a little larger than my Keen hiking boots, I presume to give you space for extra thick socks. Looks great under skinny jeans. Used for light hiking also, and they are great. Would buy again!I have wide feet and high arches. When I put these boots on, it felt like they were made for my feet. I owned a pair of Keens before this pair. These boots are true to size across the different styles. If these are available next time, there is a strong possibility of another purchase of this style when thisbpair wears out.I really like the wide toe box. On the day they arrived, I put them on and wore them all day without any pain or hotspots. I think the color is beautiful too!I'm on a quest to find footwear that doesn't trigger my foot pain - I have intermetatarsal bursitis with symptoms similar to metatarsalgia and Morton's neuroma. As I also have Raynaud's syndrome, I'm looking for warm boots for winter with no heel, a rocker sole and a wide toe box. I had high hopes for these boots as I've heard good things about Keen. Unfortunately these are not just wide in the toe box but are wide all over. Although size 5 was the right length, they were just too loose. Adding an additional insole and wearing thick socks made them just about ok, but the left one then rubbed my ankle. These seem like really good quality boots but be aware that if you have narrow feet, and just need extra room for your toes to spread, then they are likely to be too wide.Returned as not comfortable enough for me i have tender feetMir ist dieser Schuh vorne bei den Zehen zu eng/schmal. Diese Kaci 2 also definitiv kleiner bestellen.
