I have a number of berets purchased on Amazon, some are woollen felt, some are knitted as this one is - this was is very well-made indeed, being of a good medium-heavy weight due to it having a fleece inner lining which really helps to keep head warm when it's cold outside - the colour (grey) is exactly as depicted in the photos - the hat is very nicely knitted and looks professionally made - the headband is soft, a bit stretchy, & feels comfortable on the head - the beret drapes very attractivelyI like to use bobby pins to secure these types of berets, I find the wind can blow them off - I sometimes pin a small brooch on the beret, or a stick pin which doubles as a hat pin - this beret looks smart & I will be purchasing in other coloursI can recommend to buy as a gift
